Join Us...Become a Knight

The Knights at Columbus at Saint Francis University are calling upon all fellow Catholic gentlemen to rise up and join us in our mission to serve and to pour out to others the love, mercy, and charity of our holy faith.  Anyone from the SFU Community can can be a student, a member of the faculty, staff, or administration, an alumnus, a family member of one of our students or employees, or even a member of the surrounding community!

In order to be eligible to join the Knights of Columbus, one must meet the following criteria:

  • candidates MUST be male,
  • candidates MUST be at least eighteen years of age,
  • candidates MUST be a practical Catholic in communion with the Holy See.

For an eligible candidate to then become a member, one must:

  • submit a completed membership application (called a "Form 100"),
  • participate in an interview with the Council's Admissions committee,
  • participate in an Admissions ceremony.

We hold about two to three Admissions ceremonies per academic semester and interviews always precede them.  If interested in joining, please email us at with the subject "New Membership" and one of our council officers will be happy to respond to your inquiry.

Best of all, the Knights of Columbus is an international fraternal service organization with thousands of councils world-wide!  So when you graduate from Saint Francis University and start graduate school or begin your life as a professional, simply transfer your membership to your nearest council and continue to be an active Knight!
